All VortexHealing® students

Students must act in a way that respects the integrity and supports the well-being of other members of the Vortex community. They must not engage in behavior that is abusive or undermines the integrity of the community, whether via public postings or private electronic messages. Publicly, they also must not belittle, put-down, or use language that casts doubt on colleagues’ professional competence or integrity, or injures their reputation. Ethical issues with colleagues should be addressed to the lineage holder.

VortexHealing® Practitioners

1. Practitioners must practice ethically, and should cultivate a sense of nurturance and compassion in relation to clients. Statements to clients should have these qualities and be truthful, and fees charged must be ethical and fair; clients must not be exploited for financial gain.
2. Practitioners shall not attend a client while under the influence of alcohol or mind-altering drugs, or while sick with a communicable disease.
3. Practitioners shall not engage in illegal, immoral or improper conduct with a client, nor encourage such behavior. A practitioner shall neither instigate a sexual advance nor tolerate one from a client.
4. Practitioners may not treat a child if a parent or legal guardian is not present.
5. Practitioners have a responsibility to maintain the client's health to the highest possible degree.
6. Practitioners shall not make medical diagnoses, advise about a particular course of medical treatment, nor give “guarantees” about the outcome of sessions.
7. Clients who clearly need medical help must be advised to seek that, whether VortexHealing sessions are continued or not. If you know that a client is mentally or emotionally ‘unstable’, or a danger to themself or others, sessions should only be continued if they are working with a professional therapist. (Be aware that such clients may pose a liability risk, even if they are working with a licensed therapist.)
8. Client confidentiality must be maintained (within the limits of the law) and client records should be kept in a locked box.
9. If another therapy is used in conjunction with VortexHealing, the client must be informed and agree to its use beforehand. The use of other therapies should also be noted in the client’s records for that session.
10. Practitioners can offer feedback but not try to control clients' private lives or make decisions for them.
11. Advertising must be ethical, and exaggerated claims are prohibited.
12. Practitioners must be respectful in relation to the ethical, religious and political beliefs of their clients and colleagues.
13. Practitioners must accept responsibility for informing themselves of local laws and regulations pertaining to energy healing, including but not limited to: any laws restricting the use of energy healing, any requirements or licenses needed for practicing healing in a home or office, any laws or regulations regarding insurance, etc. Records of client sessions should be kept whether required legally or not.
14. Practitioners must follow the legalities with respect to the VortexHealing trademarks.
